Al-Zulfi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing an introductory meeting with the Industrial Cities Authority “Modon” in the Chamber’s headquarters on Monday, February 4th2019. This will be in the presence of a number of the governorate’s factory owners and investors. Abdullatif Mohammed Al-Abdullatif, Chairman of Al-Zulfi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, mentioned that the meeting will discuss numerous cases which concern the industrial sector in the area, introduce the authority’s services and how to register and use them, and also discuss providing logistics and infrastructure for the industrial city which will contribute to the industrial advancement of the governorate. Al-Abdullatif also explained that the industry in Al-Zulfi has taken a large interest, where the number of factories in the governorate has reached over 30 producing and exporting factories. Many of the Zulfi Factories are ranked first in the Kingdom in producing and exporting to the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), India, Europe and Africa due to the attention the Industrial Cities Authority “Modon” provides this important tributary of national income.

Al-Abdullatif confirmed that industry became one of the most important contributing forces in achieving national transformation through the “2030 Vision” as it is one of the main sectors included in the Kingdom’s economic strategy, a diversification base for economical options and its role in attracting the private sector to contribute to the management of the future ambitions of the manufacturing and knowledge industries.
