Uncovering the latest innovations in Surface materials at middle east covering

Middle East Covering, the sole flooring and covering business-to-business exhibition for the MENA region, will bring the latest products, trends and key global stakeholders to the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai UAE from May 18 – 21, 2015.
Unique to the region, Middle East Covering will explore the versatile options of surface design solutions, with a big focus on innovation as well as inspirational materials, including sustainable and eco-friendly coverings. The specialised trade exhibition is a must-attend event for architects, interior designers, suppliers and buyers looking to find the best available products and solutions across the impressive scale of surface materials present.

“The Middle East is a key growth market with construction projects forecasted to reach USD103 billion in 2015 alone. Construction in the Gulf is on the rise, fuelled by activities leading up to EXPO 2020 in the UAE, in addition to regional mega-projects such as the Hai al-Bujayri Development in Saudi Arabia and Gulf Mall in Qatar,” said Yan Wang, Event Manager, Middle East Covering. “Furthermore, the fit-out market value across the GCC is expected to reach over $6.67bn in 2015 for the residential, commercial, healthcare and education industries; these sectors offer massive opportunities for covering and surface materials suppliers and buyers. Middle East Covering has received a fantastic response from the surface design community; the level of enthusiasm is reflected in the staggering breadth of exhibitors at the event from more than 15 countries. There is no doubt that Middle East Covering strategically positions itself as the only one-stop-shop for the region’s surface materials and coverings industry.”
Middle East Covering, located in Sheikh Saeed Hall 1, will feature a complete line of handmade and machine-made carpets, textile and resilient floor coverings, parquet and wooden flooring, laminates, sports arena flooring, application technologies, wall coating, wall covering materials and all types of surface covering materials. Countries participating in the exhibition include Italy, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Iran, Netherlands, Russia, Poland, Egypt, UK, USA, Canada, India and Turkey.
Exhibitors at Middle East Covering will display more than 250 brands, including world class industry names such as Forbo system, Gerflor, Barrisol Ceiling, Classen Flooring, Janser GmbH, Berry Alloc, Wickham Hardwood, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Kansai Paint Japan, Suminoe Japan, Parador – Kira Flooring, Jotun, Hemple Paints Ltd, Armourcoat, Novacolor, Muraspec, Listonie Giodardo, Sharda – The Rug Republic, Quebec Wood Export Bureau and NGC Wallpaper.
Visitors to the exhibition can expect an action-packed four days. Co-located with INDEX, the international design exhibition, workspace at INDEX, its commercial design arm and Middle East Stone – together the four events will cover a gross exhibition space of over 70,000 sqm and will host suppliers from more than 50 countries.
Middle East Covering will also announce the Product Design Awards and the 2nd edition of the MEIDAA Interior Design Architect Awards, which recognise and reward excellence in modern design and architecture. Visitors will also get to witness a live daily 3D printing demonstration of wall coverings by Hewlett-Packard Middle East, floor laying presentation by Max & Janser GmbH, the “Future Materials Experience” by WT Project Italy and most importantly, Surface Design School.
Sponsored by Interface Europe, Karelia and Woodfloors, the three-day Surface Design School will provide an educational platform allowing interior designers, architects, retailers, flooring experts and contractors to get the most up-to-date information on surface solutions and techniques. Regional and internationally-renowned experts will share their insights and facilitate the exchange of ideas on surface covering, interior design and new industry trends.
“Surface Design School is a one-of-a-kind feature at the Middle East Covering show. The seminar offers rich solutions and techniques for projects presented through case studies as well as covering a variety of core topics. Interface Europe is proud to take part in this seminar and keen to learn from the experts,” said Steven Pratt, Regional Director for Interface.
