Ericsson demonstrates its latest innovations enabling ICT transformation

Ericsson showcases its latest technological innovations, which will enable ICT transformation, during LTE MENA 2015.

During the event, Ericsson will show how entire industries will undergo a transformation in order to take their place in the Networked Society, where everything that can benefit from being connected will be connected.
Ericsson will demonstrate the solutions through a number of groundbreaking demo tours, which will show telecommunication operators how Ericsson’s ICT solutions can offer operational and network transformation opportunities, and help grow their business.
Demonstrations at Ericsson’s state-of-the-art booth include; Zero Site billboard innovation, a fully encapsulated solution for outdoor site deployments developed for network densification in outdoor city environments using street billboards; small cell deployment, which can satisfy the projected growth in mobile data traffic, both indoors and outside; and the keenly awaited LTE license assisted access (LAA) solutions, which enable operators to access even greater broadband speeds.
As mobile penetration in the region continues to rise, LTE demands will persist. To address these pressing issues, representatives from Ericsson are taking part in a number of speaking sessions and panel discussions over the three day conference, to address, among others, LTE development, signaling, evolution and revenue potential. In addition, Nicholas Karamanis, Director Mobile Broadband at Ericsson’s Business Unit Radio, Ericsson, is giving a key note speech which focuses on the highly anticipated 5G network model.
”According to the latest statistics from Ericsson’s latest Mobility Report, LTE penetration is expected to increase by 300 million subscriptions across the Middle East and Africa by the year 2020. At the accelerating pace of network optimization and innovation, industry transformation towards the Networked Society has become necessary in the region. This year we offer a myriad of solutions, which enable our customers across varied industries to partake in the network transformation. Securing a stable infrastructure now is imperative for future industry growth,” said Tarek Saadi, Vice President and Head of Sales, Ericsson Middle East Region.

The Networked Society is transforming entire industries, which are being redefined by technological developments. The telecommunications industry is transforming in a number of different ways which affect its business, operations and networks. Regardless of the scope of the transformation, Ericsson has developed solutions that will enable operators to address their challenges and enable them to drive their business more efficiently.
