AccessAbilities Expo

The AccessAbilities Expo is the region’s leading trade, professional and consumer event aimed at enhancing the lives of people with disabilities. The expo is a one-of-its-kind forum bringing together families, caregivers, technology providers, retailers, manufacturers, investors, NGOs, medical and educational institutions, and government entities from all over the region.

The upcoming event will feature 8,000 square metres of exhibition space showcasing the latest products, services and new disability initiatives. The AccessAbilities Expo aims to motivate companies to integrate people of determination into society, by improving services to suit their requirements and empowering them to overcome everyday challenges.

Focused on the UAE’s vision of an inclusive and compassionate society, the 2018 edition hosted 6,000 attendees, 1,039 business meetings, and 106 exhibitors from 40 countries. The thought-provoking sessions shed light on pressing issues – such as ‘Inclusion in the Workplace’, which aimed to dissipate the barriers and doubts that arise when employing people of determination. Some of the other highly popular segments included the workshop on Complex Wheelchair Assessment, as well as the Knowledge Centre – a free seminar that allowed exhibitors to share their experience and expertise in empowering the differently abled.

The show is not just a chance to make the most of new business opportunities, but also a space to make a difference to people of determination.
